Pink Floyd: Focus (Recorded Live in Europe 1971)

After the aborted Studio Sessions in Italy in December of the previous year, Pink Floyd entered into the new decade with a view to laying down some solid new material. Rehearsals drifted ovedr into January just prior to a period of European live performances where the mind expanding "Atom Heart Mother" would receive firsat airing whilst it was still going under its original working title of "The Amazing Pudding".
Also added to the set list was an instrumental entitled "The Violent Sequence" wich was an early forerunner to "Us and Them". 1970 signalled a time of signioficant change in the Floyd camp. Concerts were, from now on, to feature more and more diversity than had ever been attempted before. by the summer Pink Floyd were out on the road in America complete with an orchestra and choir, legendary quadriphonic sound and performances that on most evenings clocked in at around the three hours plus mark. If are going to go over the top in style! This was only the beginning, from now on the Floyd were soon to become unstoppable.
